Whom do I contact if my luggage has been missing for LESS than 5 days?

If your checked baggage does not arrive with you, you should make a report at the Air Canada Baggage Services counter at the airport. For follow-up information, please contact the Air Canada Central Baggage Office at 1 (888) 689-2247 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

All damaged articles must be reported in person at the nearest airport served by Air Canada or our connector carriers.

Whom do I contact if my luggage has been missing for MORE than 5 days?

If your baggage has been missing for more than 5 days, please complete the Baggage Declaration form you were given when you reported the loss. Mail the form in the pre-addressed envelope.

    Phone the Central Baggage Office, toll free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1 (888) 689-BAGS (2247).
    Important: Always dial 1 888 regardless of where you are calling from.
  • Outside North America and the Caribbean
    Call the Air Canada Baggage office nearest you. For the list of telephone numbers, go to Air Canada Worldwide.
  • Worldwide
    Visit the WorldTracer via the Internet to personally review your delayed baggage file. If the information is incorrect, or you have new information, send us a message directly from the site. For instance, if your bag contains some unique items, let us know. This type of information can be particularly helpful.
    Although we cannot respond to your Internet message, the additional information will help speed up the search, so we can return your bag in the shortest possible time.
  • To navigate through the site
    Choose File Display from the Menu.
    Type your Baggage Tracing file reference number and your name in the boxes provided, then press SUBMIT. Click inside each box, do not tab between the two.
    Your file is now displayed.
    Use the right-hand scroll bar to review the entire file.
    If information is missing, needs changing, or if you have new information, send it to Air Canada directly from the site by clicking on "contact your airline" in the header above your file.
